Athletic Conflicts with Final Examinations

Students who have qualified for a post-season varsity championship where they are representing Harvard may require out-of-sequence or in absentia exams. The Athletics Department will communicate with faculty and share a list of students with athletic conflicts. The date and time of an athletic out-of-sequence exam may change due to unforeseen circumstances. The Registrar’s Office will coordinate with the Athletics Department and promptly communicate any last-minute changes. Faculty cannot deny a student’s right to take an alternative exam as scheduled by the Registrar’s Office. Students participating in athletic competitions that are not Harvard-sponsored must follow the process of petitioning the Administrative Board.
